Louis Carter grew up in a family of hardworking entrepreneurs and gained a strong work ethic from a young age. He started his own business at a young age, creating banners for local businesses using computer technology.

Louis Carter attended Brown University, where he studied Economics and Government and Columbia University where he received his MA in Social/Organizational Psychology. After college, he initially worked at Gemini Consulting’s C4 Lab before feeling a calling to focus on leadership development.
Thought Leadership and Consulting
Louis Carter established himself as a thought leader in the field of leadership development. He has worked with prominent experts and organizations, such as Warren Bennis, Richard Beckhard, and the United Nations. Carter founded Best Practice Institute, a benchmark research consortium, and developed programs to develop leaders and employees at various companies and organizations.
Most Loved Workplace® and Newsweek Collaboration
Carter founded Most Loved Workplace® and registered it as a trademark under Best Practice Institute. He developed the Love of Workplace Index and later collaborated with Newsweek to launch the America’s Top 100 Most Loved Workplaces franchise, which expanded to include Top 100 UK Most Loved Workplaces and Top 100 Global Most Loved Workplaces.
Machine Learning and AI
Louis Carter hired a team of experts to develop a machine learning and artificial intelligence tool for sentiment and emotion analysis of employee comments related to the Love of Workplace Index. This tool enhances the analysis of employee feedback and provides valuable insights for clients.
