Hi there! My name is Anastasiia, and I’m an entrepreneur from Germany. Two years ago, my husband Palash and I embarked on an incredible journey that would change our lives forever. It all began with a simple idea — a vision to revolutionize the way people move and connect in this fast-paced world. Today, I’m thrilled to share the captivating story behind Moovick’s inception and growth, from the challenges of its early days to the triumphs of today.

 

The Birth of Moovick

I’m Ukrainian, my husband is Indian, together we are 2 expats from 20 million expats, living in Germany. One day we had to move and we never could imagine that it would be such a disaster: prices as high as American roller coasters, endless emails, weeks of waiting list and language barrier.  We were shocked with the old-fashioned way of service industry in Europe and we decided to move on our own. All possible furniture we sold out, rest of the things we were shifting with our BMW mini at least 10 times, fully packed. On the last return trip we were discussing our experience and how we wish it to be. At that discussion we realized that we know a solution to make this change and its name is Moovick – first digital logistic marketplace to connect customers with moving & handyman service providers in real-time.

 

Navigating Challenges

We built a team, planned an algorithm and started working. In 2022, with just 2 months left before our launch, Ukraine was invaded. At that time, 70% of our team was in Ukraine, and our intensive work was abruptly interrupted. The invasion caused extensive damage to Ukraine’s electricity stations, targeted by rocket attacks, disrupting power supply. Ukrainian citizens endured frequent, prolonged outages, leaving them without electricity, light, or internet access.

 

After 3-4 weeks, despite the ongoing power outages, our team resumed work on our mission. Over the next 3 months, we faced numerous challenges, including learning to conduct team calls from bomb shelters and planning working hours around power outages. In spite of the adversity, we remained committed to our goal, viewing the experience as an intensive training camp for modern-day entrepreneurs in a risk-driven environment, cultivating flexibility, creativity and compassion. Ultimately, our hard work paid off, and in June 2022, like a rocket taking off into space, Moovick went live.

At its core, Moovick is all about bringing people together and making life easier.

We specialize in logistics, moving, and handyman services, ensuring that people from different countries (individuals, experts, and entrepreneurs), regardless of language and location, can find assistance with ease. We have built a thriving community of service providers, including movers and handymen, who work together seamlessly to tackle various projects. Our growing community of clients, affectionately known as the Moovick FAM, continues to expand as satisfied customers spread the word to their friends and family.  Together, we’re creating a new kind of community where everyone can find the help they need and collaborate effectively towards common goals.

 

Empowering Communities

For 1.5 years, in December 2023 we were summarizing: around 30 000 active users, more than 15 000 successfully completed jobs and the community of 750+ professional freelancers and logistic companies in Germany and Netherlands. Clients are grateful for our service because their life got so easy with finding everyday help in their household and logistics: Finding a professional mover or handyman became as easy as ordering on Amazon. Service providers, first in their life, received access to the tool which gives them fair access to the market – an opportunity to focus on actual work, rather than running behind the clients in the competitive market runned by companies-giants.  Some of them confirmed 80% – 90% yearly income coming from Moovick.

With a focus on innovation and customer-centric solutions, we are poised to shape the future of home services and beyond. Our deep understanding of the current market landscape in Germany and the Netherlands allows us to identify the gaps and challenges in traditional logistic companies. We recognize the need for flexible services that address the main difficulties people face today in moving and home repairs.

Drawing from our own experiences, we are committed to providing unique solutions that cater to these needs, setting us apart in the industry. As we move forward, we will continue to push boundaries, challenge norms, and inspire change, one service at a time.
