Dr. M.B.S. Niranjala Fernando is a Psychologist, Psychotherapist and Counselor, Founder, CEO GIOCP

Dr. M.B.S. Niranjala Fernando comes with over 25 years of experience as a professional counselor and psychotherapist in Life Transformation Therapy and Psychology. She is also a Public Speaker and Trainer in Mental Health Counseling and Life Skills Development Awareness programs and also a passionate Social Worker in child care.

Dr. Niranjala is the FOUNDER, CHAIRPERSON; Administrator & Training Director of Niranga Academy of Arts, and NAA Child Protection Project Sri Lanka. She is the main trainer, since 1987 at NAA (Niranga Academy of Arts) and since 2015 with CPP Project (NAA Child Protection Project Sri Lanka) She has done numerous training programs in DANCING / FITNESS AND PSYCHOLOGY and Child Care.

In 1987 Dr. Niranjala Fernando has contested for National ALL ISLAND YOUTH AWARDS and has won seven ALL ISLAND AWARDS FOR BEST DANCER / folk singer etc. She is a also known as multi-talented woman. She is also has written many health books in healthy lifestyle.

Her programs for pregnant mothers and fathers at M.O.H Offices (Ministry of Health), about Early childhood Development, Personality, Protection and child care, and In service Training for Public Health Leadership and as well as private sector has been highly appreciated and valued by the public participants and religious organisations too. She is hoping to continue her work with community organizations and schools to help improve the quality of healthy life in mind body and spirit.She wishers to invite parents, teachers, students and social groups to join with her academy NAA.

NAA Academy is an Academy of Arts, Humanities and psychology studies. It presently provides Professional / Psychological Counseling for Youth and adults, Art therapy for children, Mindfulness Meditation, Music therapy and Humor therapy for elders to promote overall health and wellness. NAA also has “Diploma in Psychology and Counseling” which registered under The Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission.
